What is Relay For Life?
|
Roosevelt University hosted its first American Cancer Society Relay For Life at the Lillian and Larry Goodman Center on April 12th, 2013. Following the first year, Roosevelt University hosted another Relay For Life on March 28th, 2014. Now Roosevelt is preparing for their third Relay For Life! Relay For Life is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs of your American Cancer Society. During the event, teams of people gather at schools, fairgrounds, or parks and take turns walking or running laps. Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times. Relay For Life represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and the dream that one day cancer will be eliminated. |
